Of rain and computer disasters

Yup, my computer's screwed once again. I guess last time I really screwed it up was January 1st 2008, so I bet it's by time. Was attempting to build some stuff from source, and managed to upgrade some system libs. Some stuff was however missing, and things didn't want to work no more. That's how it goes. When I've finally set this shit up again, I'll make sure to use a virtual environment to do such things next time. If I can even remember to do that.

In other words, it rains here. Been raining most'a the day. And due to having to run off a live Wolvix 2.0.0-beta2 CD, I've not had access to my music (Spotify), many websites (tabs in Opera), and whatnot. I'll try getting this darned file system cleanup done soon and get into installing the beta2 so that I can get configuring again. At least this time I remembered transferring my emails as well.

Basically is up n' running right now, but there'll be some minor fixes here and there to make it as well-configured as it was before the crash.

Thanks goodness for Linux and simple reinstalls. Windows and its licenses can go somewhere else, for I do better without.

I hope you get your computer fixed, Staeld. I understand how frusterating computer can be when they screw up like that. Mine will suddenly crash after a few hours of hard work.

Mhm. Well, this time, it actually was my own fault, because of messing around with quite important system files. So I saw it, and expected it. But that doesn't make it less time consuming to set up again.

Now I'm mostly back in business though. Computer should be workin' decently now.
